"Guitars On The Go" is a 12-week group music learning experience for fourth and fifth graders designed to take place within the elementary school (or within the Playroom Academy classroom).  GOTG is an inviting and interactive program that allows children to touch, handle and play guitars provided to the school's Music Department.  The Playroom Academy of Music provides the instruments along with a professional music instructor from The Academy to teach children basic guitar skills.  The guitars are left at school where students may explore the instrument further in a controlled and supervised environment.

At the Playroom Academy, we believe the performing arts should be a part of every child's life experience.  Funding for arts and education within the public school system continues to collapse, leaving few chances for children to explore the fine arts.  The Academy feels a strong community commitment to provide EACH CHILD the opportunity to experience a music instrument.  The Playroom Academy believes within each child is a future artist and is committed to discovering and developing the best in each student.
